ENERGY EFFICIENCY – ECM FAN MOTOR PROJECT

PROJECT STORY

Marriott Hotel; Boston Copley Marriott

The Marriott at Copley Place underwent a guestroom renovation in November of 2011 that included a complete remodel of each room. The HVAC was completely revamped in all 1,147 guest rooms. Our guestroom air conditioning units use chilled water pumped from ground to penthouse and use electric heating coils. To increase building efficiency, upgrading to Electronically Commutated Motors (ECM ) in every room was extremely effective.
