TRANSPORTATION – IMPLEMENTED ZAGSTER BIKE SHARING

PROJECT STORY

Forest City; 356 Massachusetts Ave.

At University Park at MIT, we were looking to add an additional bicycle sharing resource to complement existing services located nearby. Zagster came to the table as easily deployable uses for our campus facilities.

Foest City - Zagster

Environmental Impact

The Zagster program encourages physical education, promotes external activity, and decreases air pollution. It also decreases vehicle congestion and fuel consumption.

Cost

At our location, we were able to site Zagster here for an initial investment of less than $15,000 for installations in three separate on campus locations.

Savings

Savings are realized in reduced vehicular traffic, consumer fuel cost savings, time savings, emissions reduction, accident reduction and improved public health.
