Green Team / Task force/ Committee

What Is It?

A Green Team is made by organizing a group of employees, potentially from different levels of the organization, with the goal of promoting sustainable business practices. This group’s activities can vary from developing green policies and organizing green days to educating fellow employees and raising awareness for sustainability initiatives. Organizations can ask for volunteers or staff a committee of interested employees and provide the space and time to collaborate.

A Green Task Force or Committee motivates and engages employees to participate in sustainable business practices. Organizing a task force can be an effective consensus building effort to reach designated sustainability goals. In addition, staffed with knowledgeable and enthusiastic people, committees can help management with writing green policies and ensuring that these policies are implemented effectively across the organization.
